Dermal fillers have been a staple within the aesthetic industry for over a decade now. However, it is within the last 5 years that their popularity has really skyrocketed. As they are so popular, the aesthetics market is flooded with different filler treatments from a range of different brands, all with different formulations, treatment areas, and benefits.

Because of this, it can be difficult for clinics and clients to choose the best products. If only there was an exceptionally high-quality dermal filler range which covered a vast range of treatment areas and was incredibly affordable…

Introducing Bellast Prime, a brand-new range of incredible dermal fillers at unbeatable prices without compromising on quality or safety.

What Is Bellast Prime?

Bellast Prime is an innovative range of dermal fillers which combines performance, comfort, and style all at a highly accessible price point. These filler injections are designed to restore lost facial volume, smooth out wrinkles, and contour the face. Formulated with cross-linked hyaluronic acid (HA) technology, Bellast Prime fillers ensure long-lasting, natural-looking results with minimal side effects.

Each product in this range is biocompatible and made with high-quality hyaluronic acid, which helps to promote intense hydration and therefore improve skin texture. Bellast Prime also contains 0.3% lidocaine, a local anaesthetic, which provides pain-relieving properties. Bellast Prime dermal fillers combine performance, comfort, and style all at a highly accessible price point.

The whole Bellast Prime range is CE marked, meaning that it adheres to strict health, safety and environmental standards. So, you can rest assured that this brand-new dermal filler meets the same high quality standards expected of a Fox Pharma product.

How Does Bellast Prime Work?

Bellast Prime works just like any other high-quality dermal filler would. Its gel-like substance gets injected into the target treatment area beneath the skin, whether that be the upper dermis, into the dermis or the subcutaneous layer.

Once in its intended treatment area, Bellast Prime dermal fillers work in several ways to provide a range of benefits. One of the ways it works is through its high-quality hyaluronic acid, helping to stimulate collagen production. This additional collagen then helps to improve skin texture and skin firmness.

As the dermal filler is injected directly into the target area, the gel-like substance provides structural support to the area by filling the space and volumising the skin. This extra volume helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Bellast Prime Benefits

  • Visible results in just one treatment that can last from 6 – 12 month
  • Formulated with leading levels of high-quality hyaluronic acid
  • Easy and accurate injection due to the ergonomic design of the syringe handle
  • Incredible value for money compared to other dermal fillers
  • CE marked, so it meets strict health, safety and environmental standards.

Introducing The Bellast Prime Range

Bellast Prime Soft

Bellast Prime Soft is the softest filler of the Bellast Prime range. Because of this, it is formulated to be used in the most delicate areas of the face, such as crow’s feet, and to treat fine lines and wrinkles. Soft is the perfect filler for clients who are looking for a natural-looking volume increase and to help eradicate unwanted fine lines.

Bellast Prime Mild

Bellast Prime Mild is a slightly heavier dermal filler than soft and is formulated to help effortlessly combine both softness and structure. It is versatile for treating moderate wrinkles, such as perioral lines and restoring volume loss in the cheeks. Bellast Prime Mild ensures a seamless base for a natural-glam look.

Bellast Prime Hard

Bellast Prime Hard is a heavyweight dermal filler that is specially formulated for structural enhancements on the face. The higher-density gel means the filler can hold its shape well when contouring and defining facial features. Because of this, it can provide bold results while maintaining a natural, non-overfilled look.

Bellast Prime Ultra

Bellast Prime Ultra is the most robust of the range, designed for areas needing strong contours and reshaping. This is our go-to filler for non-surgical rhinoplasty or lower-face reshaping, perfect for clients wanting a more glamorous and striking look.

Is Bellast Prime Safe?

Yes, Bellast Prime is a very safe range of dermal fillers. In fact, the full range is CE Marked, meaning they meet rigorous European safety and quality standards. So, you can rest assured that this filler has adhered to the strictest health, safety, and environmental processes.

However, as with all aesthetic treatments, side effects such as swelling, redness, and tenderness can occur. However, in the event of this it is best to monitor such side effects for up to 72 hours to ensure that they have started to subside.

What Makes Bellast Prime Better Than Its Competitors?

  • The Bellast Prime range consists of four different products and therefore covers a vast range of skin concerns and areas.
  • The Bellast Prime products all come with ergonomically designed syringes, improving user comfort and allowing for a more accurate injection.
  • The main raw ingredients of the Bellast Prime range are all produced in-house by the manufacturer in pharmaceutical-grade conditions.
  • Improved volume and retention due to high-density hyaluronic acid and uniform-sized particles for optimal viscoelasticity.

If you have been anywhere near the world of skincare or aesthetic treatments over recent times, you will most likely have heard of the name VITARAN. Whether that is for its highly talked about skin rejuvenation benefits, or its somewhat interesting ingredients (yes, they do feature salmon trout sperm!). What’s undeniable is that the treatment is one of the fastest-growing in the industry.

With so many seemingly different but similar treatments on the market, why is VITARAN getting all the hype?

In this article, we will take a deep dive into what VITARAN is, its benefits, and why it is taking the industry by storm. Whether you are brand new to polynucleotides or are just looking to learn more about VITARAN, this post will have all the information you need.

What Is Vitaran?

VITARAN is a CE-marked polynucleotide treatment which is formulated to help with cellular stimulation and regeneration. Derived from salmon trout DNA, the highly coveted treatment works on a deeper level than traditional hyaluronic acid skin boosters, promoting collagen and elastin production for a rejuvenated appearance.

Exclusive to Fox Pharma, VITARAN has been formulated using the highest quality ingredients and adhering to strict environmental and safety standards. It is therefore not only industry-leading but also one of the highest quality polynucleotide treatments on the market.

Benefits of VITARAN

There are many VITARAN polynucleotide benefits that have helped it become an industry-leading aesthetics treatment. These skin rejuvenation and skin regeneration benefits include, but are not limited to;

  • Increased collagen production
  • Visible reduction in fine lines & wrinkles
  • More even skin tone and texture
  • Glowing complexion
  • Youthful plumpness in the injection area

Check out our complete polynucleotide guide to find out more polynucleotide benefits.

3 Reasons Why Everyone Is Talking About VITARAN Polynucleotides

There are a huge number of reasons as to why VITARAN is so heavily coveted and talked about. In fact, too many reasons to list here in one post. So, we have condensed it down into three key reasons and key points as to why everybody in and around the aesthetics industry is constantly talking about VITARAN polynucleotides.

Unmatched Skin Regeneration

One of the main reasons behind the hype and conversations surrounding VITARAN polynucleotide treatments is its incredible skin regenerative benefits. The industry-leading treatment is truly unmatched when it comes to the topic of regenerative benefits to the skin and has, in a short space of time, helped countless clients rejuvenate their skin.

Its skin regenerative properties come from the treatment’s ability to stimulate fibroblasts, which produce both collagen and elastin. Two proteins that are essential for achieving and maintaining skin firmness and elasticity. Resulting in skin that has fewer fine lines and wrinkles.

Unlike other treatments that are intended to target fine lines and wrinkles, VITARAN does not offer an immediate and short-term solution. In fact, it offers much longer-lasting benefits such asstimulating processes within the skin that rejuvenate and offer natural looking results.

Enhanced Skin Quality

Another reason behind the popularity and buzz around this treatment is its unique ability to noticeably enhance the quality of skin. Yes, in addition to its ability to tighten up skin, VITARAN can significantly increase the overall quality of skin, including elements such as skin tone and skin texture.

One of the most common insecurities that individuals have surrounding their skin is its texture. Whether that is because their skin is bumpy or rough to touch, it can be a major pain point. The ability that VITARAN has to firm up skin through collagen and elastin production, combined with its ability to help create much smoother and much more radiant-looking skin.

While this ability to have such an impact on skin quality alone is enough to create a buzz, like we are currently seeing with VITARAN. When combined with its other incredible skin regenerative benefits, it is clear to see just how revolutionary and beneficial this treatment is.

Long Term Results

One of the biggest problems with many popular treatments within the aesthetics industry is that they offer so many incredible benefits, but only for a very limited period. Therefore, VITARAN’s ability to offer much longer-term results is another reason why it has the whole industry, and everyone associated with it, on notice.

While all the benefits that we have touched on are extremely impressive, what is even more impressive is the length of time that they can last. When compared with other, very similar aesthetic treatments, VITARAN’s results far outweigh its competition. After receiving a full course of treatment, you can expect benefits to last anywhere between 9 and 12 months.

Who Is VITARAN Best For?

There is no specific age group for which VITARAN treatment can be used (must be 18+). The treatment can provide incredible regenerative results to all individuals.  However, due to its ability to improve skin firmness, texture, and tone, it can be best suited to individuals with more mature skin.

VITARAN Treatment Contraindications

There are several different people who should not go through VITARAN treatments.

  • Individuals who have fish allergies
  • Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Anyone under the age of 18
  • Individuals with autoimmune diseases
  • Individuals with keloid scarring

All clinics must determine whether individuals fall under any of these categories during an initial consultation appointment. If clients fall under any of these contraindications, then you must not go through with the treatment.

The Science Behind Seventy Hyal: Understanding High Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid https://foxpharma.co.uk/blog/science-behind-seventy-hyal/ https://foxpharma.co.uk/blog/science-behind-seventy-hyal/#respond Wed, 04 Jun 2025 14:32:28 +0000 https://foxpharma.co.uk/?p=3886230 Hyaluronic acid (HA) has become a cornerstone of modern aesthetic medicine, with its ability to enhance hydration, stimulate tissue repair, and improve overall skin quality. Hyaluronic acid (HA) has become a cornerstone of modern aesthetic medicine, with its ability to enhance hydration, stimulate tissue repair, and improve overall skin quality. However, not all HA products are created equal.

The molecular weight of HA significantly influences its biological behaviour and therapeutic outcomes. It is the quality of HA (rather than the quantity) that plays the most vital role in clinical outcomes. Seventy Hyal represents a significant advancement in skin biorevitalisation, distinguished by its exceptionally high molecular weight and unique mechanisms of action.

The Molecular Weight Advantage: Why Size Matters

The defining characteristic of Seventy Hyal is its high molecular weight of over 2000 kiloDaltons, positioning it among the highest molecular weight HA products available in the aesthetic market. This molecular size distinction creates fundamental differences in biological behaviour compared to lower molecular weight alternatives.

Anti-Inflammatory Properties

High molecular weight HA demonstrates significant anti-inflammatory effects within tissue. This property is particularly beneficial for patients with inflammatory skin conditions, including acne, rosacea, and eczema. Additionally, the anti-inflammatory nature of high molecular weight HA makes it suitable for treating age-related low-level inflammation commonly seen in menopausal women and individuals with various health conditions.

In contrast, low molecular weight HA tends to be pro-inflammatory, which while sometimes beneficial for stimulating immune responses, may not be ideal for all treatment scenarios.

Enhanced Cellular Binding and Signalling

The mechanism of action for high molecular weight HA centres on its superior ability to bind to CD44 receptors. CD44 is a cell surface glycoprotein whose primary function involves binding to hyaluronic acid. This binding triggers essential signalling pathways responsible for cellular repair, increased cell proliferation, and new cell production.

High molecular weight HA molecules possess thousands of receptor binding sites along their long chain structure, enabling multiple CD44 interactions. This extensive binding capacity translates to more reliable and consistent fibroblast stimulation compared to low molecular weight alternatives, which have fewer binding sites and therefore reduced CD44 interaction potential.

Extended Tissue Residence Time

The large molecular structure of Seventy Hyal provides significant advantages in tissue longevity. While low molecular weight HA products typically remain active for only 7-10 days before degradation by macrophages or loss through capillary walls, high molecular weight HA demonstrates extended tissue residence.

This longevity translates to sustained biostimulatory effects. Clinical protocols reflect this advantage: whereas treatment with low molecular weight products may be required every 7-10 days for four sessions (providing only 5-6 weeks of biostimulation), Seventy Hyal treatments are administered every four weeks for three sessions, providing continuous biostimulation for four weeks post-treatment, resulting in 16 weeks of total biostimulatory activity, with results capable of lasting far beyond.

Pure, Non-Cross-Linked Formulation

Seventy Hyal contains 30mg of pure, non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid per syringe. The absence of cross-linking agents means all 30mg represents free hyaluronic acid, providing immediate hydration effects upon injection. This contrasts with thermally cross-linked products where not all HA is immediately bioavailable.

The pure formulation contributes to the characteristic “Seventy Hyal glow” – the immediate hydration and luminosity patients experience post-treatment.

Biostimulatory Mechanisms

The biostimulatory effects of Seventy Hyal operate through multiple pathways:

  • Collagen and Elastin Production: The CD44 binding triggers fibroblast activation, leading to increased production of structural proteins that improve skin density and firmness.
  • Tissue Repair: The signalling cascades initiated by HA-CD44 binding promote cellular repair mechanisms, addressing existing skin damage.
  • Hydration Enhancement: The high water-binding capacity of HA molecules increases tissue hydration, supporting cellular nutrition and overall skin health.
  • Antioxidant Properties: Like other HA formulations, Seventy Hyal provides antioxidant benefits, protecting against oxidative stress.

Clinical Applications and Versatility

The unique properties of Seventy Hyal make it suitable for comprehensive facial and body treatments. Its anti-inflammatory nature and superior biostimulatory capacity make it particularly effective for:

  • Perioral rejuvenation, where traditional fillers may appear unnatural.
  • Periorbital treatments (with careful patient selection due to the product’s hydrophilic nature).
  • Neck and décolletage rejuvenation.
  • Scar improvement.
  • Treatment of inflammatory skin conditions.
  • Overall skin quality enhancement across various body areas.

Safety Profile and Considerations

The safety profile of Seventy Hyal aligns with other injectable HA products, with standard side effects including bruising and minor swelling. Allergic reactions remain extremely rare given the natural presence of HA in human tissue.

While vascular compromise represents a theoretical risk due to the product’s viscosity, the non-cross-linked nature allows for rapid dissolution with minimal hyaluronidase, providing an immediate solution should complications arise.

Conclusion

Seventy Hyal’s high molecular weight formulation represents a significant advancement in biorevitalisation technology. The superior CD44 binding capacity, extended tissue residence time, and anti-inflammatory properties create a product that delivers both immediate hydration benefits and sustained biostimulatory effects. Understanding these mechanisms of action enables practitioners to optimise treatment protocols and achieve consistent, superior clinical outcomes in skin rejuvenation and repair.

In the ever-evolving world of aesthetics, one specific treatment has skyrocketed in popularity over recent years: Polynucleotides. While there are many polynucleotide treatments on the market, there is one name that dominates, VITARAN.

So, what makes VITARAN so popular? The popularity of these polynucleotides has not come by chance. The industry-leading treatment comes with a huge number of skin rejuvenation and regeneration benefits that have massively contributed to its popularity. That, and the fact that the treatment has been tried, tested, and is trusted by clients and clinics all over the UK.

In this article, we will take a closer look at the incredible skin rejuvenating benefits of VITARAN polynucleotide injections.

Introducing VITARAN Polynucleotides

VITARAN, a Fox Pharma exclusive, is a leading brand of the extremely popular polynucleotide treatments. As a polynucleotide, VITARAN is still relatively new within the aesthetics industry but has gained tremendous popularity and credit within the industry in recent years.

This recognition is largely thanks to its incredible skin rejuvenation benefits and the fact that it is recommended by clients and clinics nationwide. So, if you are looking for a trusted skin rejuvenation treatment to freeze your ageing skin this summer, look no further than VITARAN.

5 Skin Transforming Benefits of VITARAN

VITARAN has a huge number of incredible skin-transforming and skin-rejuvenating benefits that massively contribute to its popularity. While it has many benefits, we have compiled below a list of just 5 of the polynucleotide treatments’ transformative benefits. These benefits include, but are not limited to;

Visible Reduction in Fine Lines & Wrinkles

One of the most popular benefits of VITARAN is its ability to visibly reduce the appearance of both fine lines and wrinkles. This is a very popular and common benefit across the aesthetics industry, with treatments such as Dermal Fillers and anti-wrinkle injections offering similar benefits.

However, unlike both dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle injections, skin boosters use a natural process of collagen and elastin production to achieve such benefits. This is a far more regenerative and long-lasting solution than paralysing the muscles or filling beneath the wrinkles.

By reducing the appearance of both fine lines and wrinkles, VITARAN can leave clients with much smoother skin complexions. Therefore, increasing the youthfulness of their appearance and restoring their skin confidence.

Increased Collagen & Elastin Production

Following on from VITARAN’s ability to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, the next benefit of the polynucleotide is its ability to simulate collagen and elastin production. This benefit helps to facilitate a huge amount of the treatment’s other benefits, such as increased skin tightness and a reduction in fine lines as well as wrinkles.

As the production of both collagen and elastin can noticeably increase through VITARAN treatments, it can help to fully transform and restore skin. This increased skin tightness and lack of fine lines or wrinkles provides an extremely youthful looking appearance, which can be perfectly described as ‘Frozen in time’.

Antioxidant Effects

VITARAN is a bio-stimulating treatment and therefore helps to both repair and regenerate skin cells on a cellular level whilst also helping to combat free radicals. Therefore, the treatment can offer several different antioxidant benefits.

The main antioxidant benefits of the treatment include its ability to give a more radiant skin complexion. This array of different benefits gives clients an overall more youthful, glowing, and radiant skin complexion in just a matter of weeks.

More Even Skin Tone & Texture

One of the biggest pain points within the aesthetics industry, which clients are constantly looking to solve, is based on skin tone and skin texture. Whether this is because they are struggling with rough or bumpy skin or dull complexions, VITARAN can create far improved skin tone and texture.

The industry-leading polynucleotide treatment can do this, once again, by its ability to stimulate both collagen and elastin production. In doing this, it can stimulate the dermis of the skin while enhancing elasticity and tightness. This increased tightness helps to even out skin texture while the collagen production helps to restore a natural, dewy glow.

Overall Skin Rejuvenation

All the benefits above, as well as VITARAN’s countless other benefits, help to promote overall skin rejuvenation. Skin rejuvenation from this polynucleotide treatment comes from its ability to accelerate the turnover of skin cells whilst also promoting the growth of new, healthy cells.

This, as well as its ability to – as stated above – reduce fine lines, increase collagen, increase elastin, fight free radicals, and even skin texture, makes it the perfect overall skin rejuvenation treatment.

Age Frozen in Time with VITARAN Polynucleotides

VITARAN Polynucleotide treatment is the perfect treatment to both transform and rejuvenate your skin this summer season. The treatment restores the skin to its youthful form and helps provide an unrivalled complexion and texture.

This CE-marked treatment has been tried, tested, and is trusted by countless clients and clinics across the UK. So, if you are looking to freeze ageing and unlock a newfound confidence in your skin this summer, VITARAN is perfect for you.

When talking about aesthetic treatments that can effectively slow visible signs of ageing, there is one that stands out above the rest. VITARAN polynucleotide is an innovative skin rejuvenation treatment which can improve skin firmness, texture and tone, leaving it ‘Frozen in Time’.

Despite the treatment’s obvious age-defying results, one question that still constantly needs to be addressed is: how long do VITARAN results last? With so many treatments that only offer short-term improvements, it is a common question that many people consider.

In this article, we will look at how long you can expect VITARAN to last, any factors that may reduce the timeline of its results, and any ways in which you can prolong the results.

What Are VITARAN Polynucleotides?

VITARAN is a bio-stimulating polynucleotide treatment which is derived from salmon trout DNA. The revolutionary treatment stimulates fibroblast cells, which trigger the production of both collagen and elastin. Which will then result in a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance through smoother and healthier-looking skin.

VITARAN Polynucleotide Benefits

There are many amazing VITARAN benefits that make it a hugely popular polynucleotide treatment tried, tested, and trusted by many. These benefits are, but not limited to;

  • Anti-aging effects
  • Even skin tone and texture
  • Reduces skin sagging through improved elasticity
  • Repair and regeneration of the skin barrier
  • Youthful & bright complexion

How Long Does VITARAN Last?

Unfortunately, we cannot give you an exact period that VITARAN treatment results will last. This is because it can change quite considerably from person to person, and when several things are factored in.

The general timeline that VITARAN lasts, if a full 3 sessions have been completed, is between 9 to 12 months. The reason for this range is that everybody’s skin is different and therefore responds to the treatment differently.

In comparison to other comparable polynucleotide treatments and other skin rejuvenating treatments, VITARAN can be longer-lasting. Therefore, if you are looking for a long-lasting treatment to help transform your skin, VITARAN is perfect.

What Factors Can Affect How Long VITARAN Results Last?

Several different factors can massively affect how long VITARAN lasts within your skin, hence why there is no one-size-fits-all timeline for treatment results. The main factors to be aware of are;

Amount of VITARAN Treatments – In order to see full VITARAN results, it is recommended that clients complete two or three treatments spaced three to four weeks apart. If a full treatment cycle has not been completed, then the results will not last for as long as they would have if a full treatment cycle had been completed.

Skin Characteristics – There are four different skin types: normal, dry, oily, and combination. As with all aesthetic treatments, your specific skin type can influence the effectiveness and the length of time that the treatment lasts.

Lifestyle Choices –  There are several different ways in which your lifestyle choices can affect the length of time that VITARAN lasts. For example, factors like smoking, lack of hydration, and regular sun exposure can all affect the post-treatment timeline of VITARAN.

Overall Health – Another factor that can affect how long VITARAN lasts within your skin is your overall health, including things like diet. Typically, the healthier an individual is and the better their diet is, the longer the results of the treatment are likely to last.

How To Prolong the Results of VITARAN Polynucleotide Treatments

With VITARAN offering so many incredible benefits, it is no surprise that clients are constantly looking to prolong and maximise the benefits they are getting from the treatment. While there are no secret methods or tricks to help VITARAN last for years upon years, there are some general practices which can help maximise the treatment’s benefits.

Aftercare

The most obvious way of prolonging results is to ensure that you are taking the aftercare seriously. This is something that too many people neglect as they do not understand just how important it is for seeing full benefits. The main aftercare tips to follow are:

  • Avoid touching the treatment area for up to 48 hours
  • Apply an ice pack wrapped in a clean cloth for 15 minutes muliple times a day
  • Stay hydrated in the immediate days after
  • Avoid direct heat and sun exposure for a few days after
  • Avoid heavy make-up for a few days after treatment
  • Avoid any further treatment in the same area for two weeks post treatment

You can also check out our polynucleotide aftercare guide to find out more information on how to take proper care after a VITARAN treatment.

Maintenance

Another effective way of prolonging the effects of VITARAN treatments is through maintenance in the form of top-ups. It is recommended that in order to maintain the very best VITARAN results, clients should look to schedule maintenance appointments every three to six months.

VITARAN – Industry Leading Polynucleotide Formulated to Freeze Ageing

As one of the leading brands in the polynucleotide market, VITARAN has been tried, tested, and trusted by countless clinics and clients. This CE-marked polynucleotide is best used to reduce the appearance of periocular wrinkles and vastly improve the overall quality of skin.

Skin booster treatments are one of the most popular aesthetic treatments, not only in the UK but also worldwide. Compared to other treatments, they are still somewhat new in the aesthetics market. However, these skin hydration treatments have, in a short period, helped to transform the aesthetics injectables industry and its audience.

The popularity of the skin booster treatment means that both clinics and clients need to be fully aware of the opportunities that they offer. For clinics, these treatments provide an incredible opportunity to expand your clinic offering and for clients, an opportunity to take your skin to a whole new level.

In this article, we will provide all the information you need regarding these phenomenal skin boosters. This information will include what they are, how they work, their benefits, how long they last, and so much more incredibly important information.

What Are Skin Boosters

Skin boosters are aesthetic injectables that deliver an impressive range of skin-deep benefits to clients. The main benefits that these injectables are specially formulated to provide are improved skin hydration, skin texture, and overall quality.

A large majority of skin booster treatments originated in Italy and skyrocketed in popularity once the rest of the world caught on to the treatment and its incredible benefits. Today, skin boosters are one of the most popular aesthetic treatments on the market and help millions of clients across the world achieve radiant and glowing skin.

How Do Skin Booster Treatments Work?

Most industry-leading skin boosters work by injecting Hyaluronic Acid deep into the middle layer of the skin, also known as the dermis. The hyaluronic acid then works within the dermis of the skin to attract and hold water molecules, helping to provide deep hydration that lasts.

Skin boosters also help to combat the natural depletion of HA within the skin that occurs as we age. This is because, after the age of 30, we lose approximately 1% of our hyaluronic acid stores each year. Thus, resulting in fine lines and loss of facial volume.

Benefits of Skin Booster Treatments

Skin boosters provide a huge number of incredible benefits to clients, hence why so many keep returning. The key benefits of these injectables are;

Increased Skin Hydration – Sending hyaluronic acid into the dermis of the skin, skin boosters help attract and retain water molecules within the skin. This helps to provide and maintain skin deep hydration.

Reduction in Fine Lines & Wrinkles – Through skin boosters’ ability to stimulate collagen, the injectables help to maintain and increase the structure and firmness of the skin. This then results in noticeably reduced fine lines and wrinkles.

Improved Skin Tone – Through the skin booster’s ability to increase hydration, it also provides a significantly improved skin tone and radiance. Leaving clients with a stunning glow that lasts.

Improved Skin Elasticity – Through their ability to stimulate the production of elastin, skin boosters can increase the elasticity of the skin. This once again helps to reduce fine lines and provide a much smoother skin complexion.

Improve Overall Appearance – Through skin boosters’ ability to improve hydration while also stimulating collagen and elastin, they help to improve the overall appearance of skin. This leaves clients with healthier and more radiant-looking skin.

How Long Does It Take to See Skin Booster Benefits?

With skin booster injections, you can see visible differences almost immediately. However, to see full results, it is recommended that clients have between two to three treatments spaced four weeks apart. Results of skin boosters will then continue to develop over time.

A large majority of aesthetic treatments do not offer results that show as quickly as skin boosters. This is why these injectable treatments are so popular amongst individuals looking for immediate results.

How Long Do Skin Booster Benefits Last?

As stated above; to see full results, you must go through multiple treatments spaced several weeks apart. If you have been through a full treatment cycle, then you can expect your skin booster results to last anywhere between six and eight months.

However, the timeframe very much depends on the skin booster product that you have. Each different skin booster can have a different time frame. So, to get more accurate times, it is important that you do your research on specific skin boosting treatments.

Skin Boosters Vs Other Aesthetic Treatments

With so many aesthetic treatments on the market with so many different benefits, it can be difficult to understand the key differences between them. However, they do all have several drastic and obvious differences. Below, we will look at multiple different popular treatments and discuss how they differ from skin boosters.

Differences Between Skin Boosters & Dermal Fillers

One of the treatments that is most commonly compared with skin boosters is dermal fillers. Skin boosters do share some similarities with dermal fillers, the main one being that they are both made using hyaluronic acid and that they are both injectable treatments. Other than these minor similarities, they are vastly different.

The main difference between the two is that dermal fillers are injected deep within the skin to add volume and contour the treatment area. Whereas skin boosters are injected into the middle skin layer (dermis) to help provide hydration and improve overall skin quality.

Differences Between Skin Boosters & Polynucleotides

Another common aesthetic treatment to be compared to skin boosters are polynucleotides. Polynucleotides are skin rejuvenating treatments that are derived from fish DNA, typically from salmon or trout. They have a huge number of benefits that help achieve overall rejuvenated skin.

Put simply, the treatments do share some very clear similarities. They both have skin boosting and rejuvenating skin benefits that can help restore a youthful complexion. However, the differences come more from how the treatments work within the skin.

Polynucleotides take far longer than skin boosters to show results. This is because they are much more of a long-term skin rejuvenation treatment. Skin boosters, on the other hand, are a much more immediate skin boosting solution and can work almost instantly, with results continuing to show as time goes on.

Types Of Skin Boosters

There is a huge range of different skin booster treatments on the market. While all are somewhat similar, they do have their differences. These differences are found in their formulations, ingredients, and benefits. The most notable skin boosters on the market are;

While all these skin boosters are, in their own right, very good treatments, there is one that stands out above them all. The industry-leading skin boosting treatment that has helped thousands of individuals achieve radiant and glowing skin is Seventy Hyal 2000.

Polynucleotide treatments have skyrocketed in popularity over the last 2 years. This surge in popularity is largely down to the countless celebrities who have endorsed the treatments and the incredible results that people are seeing.

However, as with any minimally invasive aesthetic treatment, one question must be addressed. This question is: Are they safe?

This is an incredibly fair question. After all, if you are adding the treatment to your clinic offering or deciding whether you want to have the treatment yourself, you want the peace of mind knowing that it is safe.

We can put your mind at rest straight away. Yes, polynucleotide treatments are safe.

In this article, we will give some more context on what polynucleotides are and what they are made of, before discussing the safety and safety precautions for polynucleotide treatments.

What Are Polynucleotides & What Are They Made Of?

Polynucleotide treatments are bio-stimulating injectables that are made up of fish DNA, typically from either salmon or trout. The fish DNA helps to stimulate the body’s natural repair process. They do this by working on a cellular level to repair, rejuvenate, and improve skin quality.

In addition to this, polynucleotides help to increase the production of essential proteins, collagen and elastin. These proteins help to create a firmer and more elastic skin texture and, as a result, significantly reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

Benefits Of Polynucleotides

While polynucleotides have a huge number of actual treatment benefits (check out our complete polynucleotide guide), there are also many benefits that relate directly to their safety. These benefits are;

Minimal Side Effects – In comparison to other aesthetic treatments, polynucleotides have minimal side effects. However, it is important to note that some clients may experience more side effects than others.

Tried & Tested – Despite being somewhat new within the industry, these treatments have been tried, tested, and proven countless times since they arrived in the industry. Therefore, clinics and clients can rest assured that the treatments are incredibly reliable.

Long-lasting – Another benefit of polynucleotide treatments is their long-lasting results. Once a client has completed a full course of treatment, they can see the results for up to 12 months. This means that they are much longer lasting than other aesthetic procedures.

Are Polynucleotides Safe for Aesthetic Treatments?

Yes, polynucleotide treatments are safe. However, they are only as safe as the individual injecting the treatment. If the treatment is being performed by a trained practitioner using the correct injection techniques, then the treatments are very safe.

However, as with any aesthetic treatment, if they are not injected by properly trained practitioners, then their safety can be compromised. That is why, at Fox Pharma, we only sell polynucleotide treatments to qualified practitioners and offer free digital protocols to ensure practitioners are competent with the treatments.

In addition to this, it is also important to mention that the treatments can have potential side effects and contraindications to be aware of.

Polynucleotide Contraindications

The main contraindications that clinicians should be aware of are:

  • Polynucleotide treatments are not recommended during pregnancy or when breastfeeding
  • As they are derived from fish DNA, polynucleotide treatments must not be given to clients with fish allergies
  • Individuals with autoimmune conditions must not be given the treatment

If your client falls under any of these contraindications, then it is not recommended for them to receive polynucleotide treatments. This is because these factors can significantly diminish the safety of the treatment.

Polynucleotide Side Effects

As with all cosmetic treatments, there are potential side effects of polynucleotide treatments. The side effects to be aware of are;

  • Swelling – Swelling of the injection area is a side effect that some experience. If this does happen, applying an ice pack to the affected area should help to reduce the swelling.
  • Redness – Due to the invasive nature of the treatment, redness of the treatment area can be common.  This is not something to be worried about and should resolve over a few days.
  • Bruising – Some individuals may experience bruising as a side effect of these treatments. However, this is nothing to be alarmed about and should subside within just a few days.
  • Itchiness – Itchiness at the injection site is another potential side effect that some individuals experience. This side effect is only short-term, however, clients should be advised to avoid itching the area.
  • Allergic reactions – As polynucleotides are made from fish DNA, individuals with fish allergies may experience allergic reactions. This is why it is not recommended to give the treatment to individuals with these allergies.
  • Lumps – Small temporary lumps around the injection area are another potential side effect of polynucleotide treatments. These should subside within 24-72 hours.

Whilst still relatively new within the aesthetics industry, polynucleotides have very much taken over and dominated recent years. As a favourite of many huge celebrities and influencers, clients are constantly asking their aesthetics practitioners about these hugely popular, yet still somewhat unknown, skin-rejuvenating treatments.

Although these treatments are so popular, they are still in their infancy. Meaning that many clinicians and clients still see polynucleotides as somewhat of an unknown.

That is why we have put together this comprehensive guide on all thing’s polynucleotides. The guide will look at what exactly they are, how they work, their benefits, how long they last, and so much more.

What Are Polynucleotides?

In the world of aesthetics, polynucleotides are known as the future of regenerative injectables and are hailed for their ability to rejuvenate and regenerate the skin. More specifically, polynucleotides are natural constituents which are derived from fish DNA.

These polynucleotide components typically come from either salmon or trout and play a vital role in several functions that can help improve skin rejuvenation. These functions include collagen production and stimulating cellular activity.

How Polynucleotides Work

There are many ways in which polynucleotides work within the skin to provide the incredible results that they are famed for. The main ways these treatments work are;

Tissue Repair – As bio-stimulators, these polynucleotides work on a cellular level to repair and improve skin quality from the inside out.

Collagen & Elastin Production – The polynucleotides stimulate fibroblast cells and thus increase the production of both collagen and elastin. This helps to stimulate tissue repair as well as the regeneration and restoration of the skin.

Anti-Inflammation – They are less likely to cause inflammation on injection than other injectables.

How Long do Polynucleotides Take to Work?

When having polynucleotide treatments, clients can expect to see the full results in around three to five weeks. However, this can differ depending on the individual.

For the best polynucleotide results, clients are recommended to have multiple treatments. Because of this, it can take around 9-12 weeks to complete the treatments and a further three months for full results to be visible.

How Long do Polynucleotides Last?

As with how long it takes to see results, the length of time that the polynucleotide benefits last depends on the client’s skin. So, results can vary massively from individual to individual.

However, you should typically be able to see visible results for 6 to 12 months post-treatment. This means that polynucleotides are much longer-lasting than most other aesthetic treatments on the market.

After this, to maintain full results, clients should look to have a top-up every three to six months.

Where Polynucleotides Are Injected

Polynucleotide treatments can be injected in a large range of different areas. However, different areas require different quantities of polynucleotides, this is dependent on the size of the area being treated.

Smaller quantities of polynucleotides are perfect for more fragile areas of the face, such as the periorbital. Larger quantities can be used on the wider face and areas of the body, including the neck, hands, and chest.

Benefits of Polynucleotides

Polynucleotides can boast a huge number of benefits to clients. These benefits include, but are not limited to:

  • Increased collagen production – The increased production of collagen results in improved skin laxity and reduced sagging.
  • Visible reduction in fine lines and wrinkles – Increased collagen and elastin create much firmer skin, helping to see a visible reduction in fine lines and wrinkles.
  • More even skin tone and texture – Polynucleotides are bio-stimulators which encourage cells to combat the effects of ageing, resulting in a more even skin tone and texture.

How Many Polynucleotide Treatments Are Needed to See These Benefits?

As with any aesthetic treatment, result timelines can drastically differ depending on the person receiving the treatment. This is because everybody’s skin is completely different. This may also mean that different individuals may need either more or fewer treatments to see the full results.

However, as a general rule, to get the full polynucleotide results, it is recommended to have three or four polynucleotide treatments spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart. This full treatment course will ensure that clients see the full polynucleotide results.

Important Polynucleotide Treatment Information

Below, we will provide very important polynucleotide safety information for both clients and clinics. When doing your research about polynucleotides, it is incredibly important to understand all the information as this will help to ensure that these treatments are as safe as possible.

You can also take a look at our blog post, which discusses the topic of ‘Are Polynucleotides Safe?’.

Who Should Not Have Polynucleotide Treatments?

While the treatments are very safe, there are several contraindications that both clients and clinics should be aware of. Polynucleotides are not recommended for individuals who:

  • Have fish allergies – Polynucleotide treatments should not be given to clients with fish allergies. This is because they are derived from fish, which could cause allergic reactions.
  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding – These treatments are not suitable for individuals who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or undergoing IVF treatment.
  • Have active skin conditions – Polynucleotide treatments should not be injected in any area where there is an active skin condition or infection.

Potential Polynucleotide Side Effects

Polynucleotides, as with any aesthetic treatment, do have some potential side effects that clinics and clients should be aware of. While they are not common, everybody reacts differently. The side effects to be aware of are:

  • Swelling – As the procedure is an injectable, there may be some slight swelling to the treatment area. This can be treated and reduced by applying an ice pack to the injection site.
  • Redness – Redness in the area of injection is another potential side effect. If this occurs, it should subside within a few days.
  • Bruising – Although the treatment is minimally invasive, there may still be the potential for bruising to occur at the injection site(s).
  • Itchiness – Itchiness of the treatment area is another potential side effect. In the event of this, clients should be strongly advised to avoid itching the area.
  • Allergic Reactions – As the treatments are derived from fish DNA, individuals who have fish allergies could potentially experience allergic reactions. Because of this, clinics must ensure clients do not have fish allergies in the initial consultation.
  • Lumps – Small temporary lumps around the injection area are another potential side effect. These should subside within 24-72 hours.

There are so many different aesthetic treatments on the market. Because of this, these treatments are constantly compared with one another. Below, we will discuss how polynucleotides differ from a range of other treatments.

How Polynucleotides Differ from Skin Boosters

Whilst polynucleotides and skin boosters are regularly compared to each other due to their similar abilities to restore and rejuvenate the skin, there are many differences. The main difference comes from the time frames of the different treatments.

Skin boosters offer a more short-term and fast-acting hydration and rejuvenation, which offers an instant glow. Whereas polynucleotides are more of a long-term investment in skin restoration.

While polynucleotides take longer to show results, their results last much longer than skin boosters. In fact, they can last up to 6 months longer. Skin booster’s benefits can be seen for around 6 months. Whereas polynucleotide benefits can be seen for up to 12 months.

How Polynucleotides Differ from Dermal Fillers

The only real similarity between polynucleotides and dermal fillers is that they are both injectable treatments. Other than that, the similarities very much stop there.

One of the biggest differences between the two is, once again, the timeline of these treatments. Dermal fillers give an instant effect and skin plumpness, whereas polynucleotides are more of a long-term investment in your skin health.

Another clear difference between the two treatments is what the treatments do. Polynucleotide treatments are designed to increase the production of collagen and elastin, whereas dermal fillers are designed to use hyaluronic acid to add volume to the treatment area.

What Are the Best Polynucleotide Treatments

As polynucleotides are so popular, there are now so many different polynucleotide treatments on the market. Due to the sheer volume, effectively navigating these different treatments and figuring out which is best for your clinic can be difficult.

Market-leading polynucleotide range, VITARAN, has taken the aesthetics industry by storm. Exclusive to Fox Pharma, VITARAN is an incredible, CE marked injectable that takes advantage of the latest innovations from the aesthetics industry to completely rejuvenate your client’s complexion. Manufactured using the highest quality-control standards,  this transformative product can provide your clients with excellent skin rejuvenating results.

This comprehensive guide will walk you through how to inject VITARAN to ensure your clients achieve the best results.

What Is VITARAN?

VITARAN is a bio-stimulating polynucleotide derived from purified trout DNA, which helps with cellular regeneration and skin repair. It works on a deeper level than traditional hyaluronic acid (HA) skin boosters, instead stimulating fibroblast cells to trigger collagen and elastin production. This results in a youthful, rejuvenated appearance and smoother, healthier skin.

The VITARAN range comprises two products:

  • VITARAN I is designed for under-eye (periorbital) use.
  • VITARAN II is recommended for the face, neck, hands, décolletage, and body.

How to Inject VITARAN

To offer VITARAN injections at your clinic, you’ll need a skin booster or a polynucleotide training certificate. Learning how to inject VITARAN properly is essential to ensuring safe and effective treatments.

VITARAN can be injected either via the multi-injection technique with a fine needle or the linear-retrograde technique with a cannula—Fox Pharma recommends a 25g 50mm cannula. Each box of VITARAN injections comes with two 34G needles, which are recommended for use. You will also receive a free VITARAN product training video upon purchase.

Treatment Protocol

We have a recommended treatment protocol when administering VITARAN to achieve optimal results:

  • 0.5ml per eye
  • 2 x 4ml per treatment for the full face
  • 2 x 4ml per session for the neck and décolletage
  • 2ml per hand

To achieve maximum results, clients are recommended to have two to three treatments spaced three to four weeks apart. They will start to see improvements in their skin within two weeks. However, full results can take up to three months. Annual maintenance treatments are also advised to maintain the best results.

Treatment Preparation and Aftercare

As a VITARAN treatment is considered minimally invasive, it requires very little preparation and aftercare. However, as with most injectable treatments, please advise clients to avoid touching the treated area, makeup, strenuous exercise, and sweating for at least 24 hours post-treatment and to avoid other treatments in the injected area for at least two weeks.

At Fox Pharma, the complete VITARAN line includes our VITARAN Cooling Eye Packs to soothe under eyes post-treatment, VITARAN Consultation Forms and VITARAN Post Treatment Guides.

Benefits of VITARAN

VITARAN has a wealth of benefits and can aid various skin concerns, making it an incredible service to offer at your clinic. It can help with:

  • Anti-ageing
  • Evening skin tone and texture
  • Improving skin elasticity and reducing sagging
  • Repairing and regenerating the skin barrier
  • Achieving a youthful and bright complexion

In recent years, jaw filler has become an increasingly popular treatment in the field of aesthetic medicine, offering clients a non-surgical solution to enhance their natural facial contours. It allows clients to balance their features and enhance and define their jawline without the downtime, cost, or pain of surgery.

This blog will act as a comprehensive guide to jaw filler for practitioners. We will answer popular questions including ‘What does jaw filler do?’ and ‘How long does jaw filler last?’ to ensure you have all the information you need before offering this treatment in your clinic.

What is Jaw Filler?

Jaw filler is a dermal filler treatment which is capable of enhancing and defining the jawline. Jaw filler is typically formulated with hyaluronic acid (HA) and when injected into the skin it adds volume, shape, and structure to the target area of the face. By adding volume, jaw filler allows clients to achieve their desired facial structure through a non-invasive treatment with minimal downtime.

Jaw filler treatments are ideal for those looking to balance or enhance their features or carve out their perfect jawline.

REVOLAX for Facial Enhancements

REVOLAX is an innovative, CE marked dermal filler line formulated with hyaluronic acid (HA) to provide clients with superior facial enhancements. The REVOLAX line comprises three products of different viscosities, including REVOLAX Fine, REVOLAX Deep and REVOLAX Sub-Q.

REVOLAX Sub-Q holds the thickest formula, making it ideal for facial augmentations such as jaw filler. Renowned for their high-quality, cross-linked hyaluronic acid (HA) formula, REVOLAX dermal fillers boast low migration risks for lasting optimal results.

Qualified practitioners can buy REVOLAX exclusively at Fox Pharma.

Balancing and Defining the Profile

One of the primary motivations for clients seeking jaw filler is to achieve a balanced and well-defined profile. A strong jawline can enhance overall facial harmony, making the features appear more proportionate and aesthetically pleasing. Jaw filler can address perceived concerns such as a weak chin, jowls, or asymmetry, providing a more structured and typically desirable appearance.

Adding Volume

With ageing, many people experience a loss of volume in the lower face, leading to sagging skin and a less defined jawline. Jaw filler effectively restores this lost volume, rejuvenating the face and providing a more youthful appearance. By strategically placing the filler, you can create a natural and subtle enhancement that complements your client’s existing features.

Who is Jaw Filler Suitable For?

Before offering jaw filler as a treatment in your clinic, it’s essential that you understand who is a suitable candidate and whether or not it will allow your clients to achieve their goals. Jaw filler is a versatile treatment, making it suitable for a wide range of clients. It is an excellent option for those looking to:

  • Improve the definition of their jawline
  • Correct asymmetry in their lower face
  • Enhance their chin area
  • Address age-related volume loss
  • Avoid surgical procedures

Prior to any aesthetic treatment, it is essential to conduct a thorough consultation to understand your client’s goals and determine if jaw filler is the right solution for them. If their goals do not align with jaw filler results you should take this opportunity to suggest an alternative treatment that would better suit them.

How Long Does Jaw Filler Last?

How long does jaw filler last? The truth is, it’s subjective. The longevity of jaw fillers can vary based on several factors, including the type of filler used, the client’s metabolism, and their lifestyle. Typically, jaw fillers like REVOLAX can last between 12 to 18 months.

If your clients are keen to maintain their results you can recommend top-up sessions. As a practitioner, it is crucial to inform clients about the expected duration and encourage clients to schedule follow-up appointments to maintain their desired look.

Injection Techniques

The success of jaw filler treatments largely depends on the practitioner’s skill and technique. With that in mind, we have outlined below some of the key injection techniques for you to consider when offering jaw filler treatments to your clients.

Cannula vs. Needle

Both cannula and needle techniques can be used for jaw filler injections. A cannula is often preferred because it reduces the risk of bruising and vascular complications. However, needles can provide more precision in certain areas. Understanding when to use each technique is vital for achieving optimal results.

Layering

Layering involves injecting the filler at different depths to achieve a more natural look. This technique can help create a smooth transition between the jawline and surrounding areas which enhances contours.

Mapping

Mapping the injection sites before starting the treatment ensures a more accurate and consistent result. By marking the areas where the filler will be injected, practitioners can maintain symmetry and avoid over- or under-filling.

Jaw Filler Preparation and Aftercare

Correct preparation and aftercare are crucial for the success of jaw filler treatments. It is best practice to advise your practitioners and clients alike to adhere to the following guidelines:

Preparation

  • Consultation: Conduct a thorough consultation to understand the client’s medical history, aesthetic goals, and any potential contraindications.
  • Informed Consent: Ensure the client understands the treatment, potential risks, and expected outcomes.
  • Pre-Treatment Care: Advise clients to avoid blood-thinning medications, alcohol, and supplements like fish oil for at least a week before the treatment to reduce the risk of bruising.

Aftercare

  • Immediate Aftercare: Encourage clients to avoid touching or massaging the treated area for at least 24 hours. They should also avoid strenuous activities, saunas, and hot baths.
  • Managing Side Effects: Mild swelling, bruising, and tenderness are common side effects. Recommend cold compresses and over-the-counter pain relief if necessary.
  • Follow-Up: Schedule a follow-up appointment to assess the results and address any concerns.
